We will take a break for the long weekend. We hope that you enjoy your time and wish you safe travels if you are on the road.
We will return next Wednesday, cluing up some training and getting ready for our ACR in June.
We have had a lot of activities involving pockets of cadets and our senior cadets over the last month or so, and we are looking forward to getting everyone back as we get ready to finish out our training year and celebrate with our ACR and banquet. So please Hang in There!

BAND: We appreciate you! Please keep practicing and we will have another practice next week.

We have the following Events this Week:
Sunday May 11, 1-3pm we have band practice. The better our attendance the less practices we will need! Practice on your own and show up for practice so we can gauge our schedule for the rest of the year!
Sunday May 11, 3-4pm, directly following Band Practice we will have rock band practice, everyone plays an important role in the jam, please practice before hand and come ready to rock!
Wednesday May 14 6:45-9:15pm Regular cadets, wearing civies. Bring or wear your boots for parade practice. Also if you are involved in one of the small displays for the ACR bring what you need.
We ask for confirmation of attendance or counts of guests for the ACR and the banquet, more details in previous post.
We have an upcoming Area Directed Activity that is a Field Training Exercise held June 6-8 in Emeraldvale. This is OPTIONAL but we do need to know if cadets are not going to attend so they are not included in travel or meal plans. Please email the corps email to let us know. 2562army@cadets.gc.ca

Regular Training Wednesday May 7
Dress is your Field Training Uniform, bring in any uniform pieces you need exchanged. Hair should be neatly up and off the collar or in a pony tail/braid.
Band Practice - Sunday May 11 from 1-3pm dress is civilian attire
Rock Band Practice - Sunday May 11 3-4pm dress is civilian attire
Chamberlains Park Clean Up - Saturday May 24 9-12 (optional activity)
This Wednesday we will discuss upcoming events. We ask cadets to come prepared to confirm attendance to the following:
Area Field Training Exercise in Emeraldvale 6-8 June. More details will follow. This is an optional training activity that will focus on hands on training such as map and compass, building field amenities, using expedition equipment, etc. We ask that cadets confirm their attendance so we can provide a count for the organizers of this activity as it is an area directed activity with multiple corps and squadrons attending. Bus and meals provided.
Regular Training Night Wednesday June 11 - Last Practice for ACR, attendance this evening is important.
Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR) June 14 followed by Banquet. This is a graduation parade and an opportunity to celebrate our cadets. We want to keep this important date on everyone's radar as we hope all cadets attend, along with their guests for the Ceremonial Review.
The ACR will be from 2-4 pm, followed by a banquet 5-7pm. Both at the Legion.
Tickets for the banquet dinner will likely be: $30 for stuffed chicken breast dinner, and $25 for chicken fingers and fries (an option for children and cadets who do not want chicken dinner)
The corps will cover the cost of the cadets' meals
We are seeking the confirmation of guests who will be attending both events.
