The cadets have asked for this night so here we go! It will not be a fundraiser as planned due to its close proximity to the holiday, so we will do skills building and team building activities.

Saturday, our night will start 7:00 pm. We will have a dance from 7-10 pm. Cadets are permitted to bring a guest for the dance portion only. Guests are not permitted to stay over night.

We will have pizza later in the evening. Cadets decided to bring snacks:

Green stars - chips

Red stars - candy treats

Silver stars - drinks

Senior cadets: irons

The cadets are also encouraged to bring fruit, yogurt, or anything they would like have.

We will serve pancakes to the cadets for breakfast:

Pick up is at 8:00 am.

Cadets are asked to bring:

  • water bottle.

  • dress uniform - you will learn to iron your uniform and shine your boots

  • Boot polish and cloth, if you have it

  • Change of clothes or toiletries if needed

Wear something comfy, No Pajamas.

If cadets want to come for portions of the night or are joining late or leaving early, please let us know as we will be both upstairs and downstairs at the legion overnight so we would need to ensure supervision of all cadets and monitor exits as needed.

The cadets have asked to bring VR, gaming systems, instruments, etc. They are responsible for whatever they bring and games and movies should be appropriate for all cadets.

A parent or guardian must be reachable all night if there are any issues and we need to reach out.

We will have no activities on Sunday. The marksmanship team will have additional practices on Monday and next Friday to prepare for the competition on Feb. 1. Details to follow.

See you Saturday!

The cadet corps will follow suite with the school system regarding closures. So if school is closed on a Wednesday, we will likely not parade that night.

For any decisions on weather, we would try to announce something by 4:00 pm at the latest to help provide as much notice as possible.

We will also follow direction from the Area Office to cancel or postpone training based on directives they put out.

I’m saying all of that: please do not travel any time you do not feel it is safe to do so with the weather. Families are spread throughout CBS and neighbouring communities, so weather and road conditions can look different. We want everyone to be safe.

We will post here if anything changes for tonight with the snow on the roads.

Thank you!

This Wednesday we will be putting our drill skills to use as well as planning some activities for our wake-a-thon this Saturday night. We will continue to issue dress uniforms to new cadets as well.

Dress: Field Training Uniforms

Time: 6:45 - 9:15

Silver Star Cadets: an announcement came out today that silver stars are eligible to apply for staff positions at camp. We can take a look at this with you on Wednesday. You can look at your choices in the meantime.

Wake-a-thon is planned for Saturday. We will post more information on Wednesday. We know a lot of senior cadets are doing exams, so we want to gauge numbers on Wednesday to see if this will go ahead.

Thank you!
