Our FTX: Hoorah, We're Back! - So Far!

FTX - Update for the Weekend - Please Read

The area office has postponed some activities out of caution with the weather.

We will cancel tonight with our senior cadets (Gold star and above). ALL cadets will meet in the parking lot at the end of Foxtrap Access Road for 10 am Saturday morning and we will all go in together.

The weather should be more favourable tomorrow. We will provide lunch and supper as planned and then make a call at supper time if the cadets will stay the night or if it’s best to go home. If the cadets stay Saturday night, we have snacks and we have breakfast for them Sunday morning.

We are a little disappointed but know that our quality of time training together is more important than our quantity of time. Please bring extra socks and sneakers for inside rhe cabin.

Thank you all for your patience. We appreciate it. We will make the most of our time there!

Awards

Last night we had a couple cadets that earned some cool awards.

First off congratulations on the biathlon team who did amazing at the competition last weekend where they earned their bronze biathlon pins.

2 cadets earned some marksmanship badges. MCpl Little joined the distinguished marksmanship club with shooting 2 targets of 5 pellets in less than 1.5 cm diameter groupings. Then Cadet Lockyer earned himself a level 1 marksmanship badge with getting 2 targets of 5 pellets in under 3 cm diameter. We are proud of you all, keep up the participation.
