Tonight we will be focusing on marching and playing our songs for the Christmas parade

Field Training Exercise - Hoorah, We’re Back - November 23-24*- Updated with Kit List

We are excited to have our cadets back together this fall for our corps FTX which will cover Field Training skills, learning radio communications, survival skills, and bivouac camping.

*Our senior cadets will arrive Friday, November 22 at 1900 hrs. They will do some senior leadership training and team building in preparation for our cadets arriving on Saturday morning. Senior cadets are Gold Star and above.

Our Green, Red and Silver Stars will arrive at the parking lot at rhe end of the Foxtrap Aacess Road, at 1000 hrs on Saturday, November 23. Our senior cadets will meet them there and they will hike 1.5 km to the cabin to unpack and begin training.

On Wednesday night, you can identify if you need a ruck sack and sleeping bag. We have a limited number we can provide. If you have your own, please bring it. We will also provide air mattresses. We will be staying inside due to the weather. Your gear should be packed so you can carry it in your ruck sack. This will be reviewed again with you on Wednesday.

All cadets will be picked uo at 1200 hrs noon on Sunday, November 24. We will determine if this will be the cabin or the parking lot as the cabin area can be quite congested with pickup.

Meals will be provided:

• Saturday breakfast: cooked breakfast (senior cadets only)

• Saturday lunch: Meals Ready to Eat ( MREs)

• Saturday supper: Mary Browns chicken finger meal

• Sunday breakfast: cooked breakfast

Snacks provided throughout the weekend: cheese strings, fruit, granola bars, yogurt

NO POCKET KNIVES: we have some we will issue to senior cadets

We will get a final head count for those attending tomorrow night as we have to order meals, buy groceries and ensure we meeting staffing ratios.
